What the inspector reads

Three reads, one paste

The theme

If the store runs a recognizable theme, you get its name and the studio behind it. Heavily customized stores show their raw theme name, still a useful signal.

The apps

We fingerprint the storefront against a library of common apps for reviews, email, subscriptions, search, loyalty and support, then list what we can confirm.

The SEO read

Title and meta with character lengths, canonical, Open Graph, structured data, hreflang, currency and the myshopify domain. A fast look at the on-page basics.

The inspector reads a store’s public storefront, the same markup any browser loads, then reports its theme, the apps it can fingerprint and how its on-page SEO is set up. Detection is best-effort: a renamed theme or an app that loads through Shopify infrastructure can be missed.

Weighing up a theme for your own store? Our guides on customizing the Prestige theme and the Impulse theme cover what each can and cannot do, and where customization stops being a settings job and becomes development. Found something you want a second opinion on? Talk to us.
